Microsorum Pteropus 'Windelov' (Hybrid)

Java Fern 'Windelov' Hybrid (Microsorum Pteropus) is a rich green aquatic plant that combines characteristics from popular species. While the exact parentage is unclear, this unique hybrid features Windelov’s classic split tips on overall thicker leaves. This aquatic fern also appears smaller in size, making it a nice choice for nano planted aquariums or aquascapes that need small plants to fill open spaces in a layout. Recently reclassified as Leptochilus pteropus, this plant is still widely known in the hobby as Microsorum pteropus.

If Windelov Hybrid is like any other Java Fern, it is likely an easy aquatic plant that can add greenery and life to low-tech aquariums or setups with low lighting. Java Fern plants are known for their adaptability, making them a top recommended plant for beginners. Attach it to stones, driftwood, or aquarium decor and watch this naturally bushy plant grow!
