Phyllanthus Fluitans Red Root Floater

Phyllanthus Fluitans, more commonly known as Red Root Floaters, is quite similar to Salvinia aquatic floating plants but features only one leaf on each node instead of two. Leaf color is dependent upon the choice of LED aquarium lighting used and can range from green to a brownish red hue. However, its most notable feature is the tufts of roots that have a nice red coloration, hence the common name. Phyllanthus Fluitans is extremely easy to care for and if given optimal conditions, the plant grows extremely quick and will sprout small white flowers. Red Root Floaters also provide many benefits when added into a planted aquarium tank. This aquatic floating plant provides natural cover for shrimp, skittish fish and even fry as well as another source of natural water filtration as the roots help absorb excess nutrients in the water rather quickly.
